WEEKEND 0, SATURDAY

[siffrin]

[ Siffrin is mostly roaming around the flight deck, peering out. But a small little white chao baby is on a mission and that mission is roaming on their own - unfortunately that means stumbling right into poor Kate, oops. ]

[sootprints]

[ kate's here wearing a very sooty dress and this helmet. she stumbles a little when run into. ]

Ah...! I'm sorry...

[ bends down to try to help the chao... and has to hold up a hand to steady the wobbling helmet that is definitely too big for her. ]

[siffrin]

[ The chao is unfortunately already teary eyed, practically crying with a guilty look as she helps it up. Siffrin is already coming over, peering first at the chao, before to Kate. ]

Are you alright? [ The chao begins to babble, look to Siffrin, then to Kate with a patting paw. ] --Ah, they're worried they hurt you.

[sootprints]

[ she shakes her head, which just makes the helmet wobble more. ]

N, no, I'm completely fine.

[ tries taking the chao's paw into her hand...? she has a frilly little pair of gloves on, so it won't even get sooty. ]

It's nothing to worry about. Really.

[ and after she's had a moment to look over the chao... ] ... What kind of creature are they?

[siffrin]

..Are you sure? That's good, then. Sorry for startling you.

[ The chao appears suddenly more timid, shy, but will allow its paw to be taken into her hand. Curiously watching her as it coos softly. ]

Sirius is a chao. They hatched from an egg back during my time in Heaven.

[sootprints]

[ cute... ]

You were... in Heaven?

[siffrin]

For about eight weeks, yeah. Where we met other people, along with our Guardian Angels and a God.

[ Said quietly, not readily to dive into the whole they had to DIE to go to Heaven but... Sirius will gently swing her hand a little. ]

[sootprints]

I've never heard of a chao before. They seem very sweet.

[ warmly, as they swing her hand. ]

And your name is... Siffrin, is it?

[siffrin]

They all have their own personalities too, just like people.

[ The white chao smiles cutely up at her. ]

That's right. I'm Siffrin, and that's Sirius.

[sootprints]

My name is Kate. It's good to meet the two of you. Despite the situation.

[siffrin]

It's nice to meet you, too.

[ A little showy bow just for fun, which Sirius mimics too while still holding her hand. ]

Looks like Sirius has warmed up to you pretty easily.

Week 0, Wednesday

[sootprints]

[ hanging out at the flight deck as the party is starting to wind down... kate left a little early to give the drunkies some room to be rowdy and not feel guilty about having a child watch them be idiots.

she'll turn to glance at siffrin. ]

How do you feel about our new team?

[sootprints]

Perhaps I should be flattered.

[ assumes sirius has taste ]

[siffrin]

[ Kate is so valid, not as though Siffrin lingered at pardi for long themselves. Sirius skips on over to her. ]

I feel good about it. [ No bad feelings. And everyone is easy to get along with. ] What about you? It'll take some getting used to with the arrangements, but hopefully you feel comfortable?

[sootprints]

I think I will be able to get along with everyone.

... I am sorry for making so many requests. Unfortunately, I do think they're all necessary.

[ the separate room, the laundry, and the special roomba... ]

[siffrin]

[ yeah!! ]

It's been a while since they've seen so many people at once so it's a bit hard to get them out of their shell. If they get a bit too much, just let me know?

[siffrin]

That's good. [ Though, the apology has them pause, before they shake their head. ] No need to apologize for that.

Like you said, they're all necessary. [ For a moment on instinct they almost reach out to pat her head. But they catch themselves, instead offering out their gloved hand to her if for a reassuring hand squeeze. ] The laundry I think is something everyone would have asked for anyway, and the...

[ Word. ] Roomba helps with cleaning, so getting an upgraded one just works in our favor. ..I like rooming with others, it's nice to have company so I have no complaints there either.

[ All a win/win, see? ]

[sootprints]

Okay... good. [ she'll straightens a little while holding their offered hand. ]

I'll do what I can to make it so everyone else can have the things they want, too.

[sootprints]

I don't think that will be a problem.

[ warmly. sweet sirius... ]

[siffrin]

[ A softer smile, gingerly squeezing her hand. ]

We can do that together. We're a team now so, if you need anything you can rely on me to help. Hmm.. I think the next thing we could aim for is a "gym room." Since it's what Rin would like, and it might help out with Brimstone's frustrations a little.

[sootprints]

Agreed. I think that's a wonderful goal to set for ourselves.

[siffrin]

Hmm.. maybe we should make a list with the rest of the team? Write down things we'd all like to get. Since I feel like the essentials are basically all covered with our start.

[ Like a grocery list. But roomie needs. ]

[sootprints]

[ a nod. ]

I hope we'll have enough to choose something fun.

[siffrin]

I think so long as we make an effort to participate in things, I'm sure we will. And when the next week comes along, we'll probably have more things to check out, too.

WEEK 1, THURSDAY PRE-CURFEW

[siffrin]

[ First aid center...

Siffrin will peek in first, though Sirius just runs in because a chao baby cannot be contained. A soft sigh before Siffrin follows after, a little package in hand. ]

Sorry, Sirius wanted to see how you were doing, too. ..How are you feeling?
