There are, I'm sure... but. I'd like to see some of your favorites. Haven't stopped thinking about what if we could.
The only experience I've got with Heaven is going somewhere and eating candy that dressed me up in some costume reminiscent of a giant yellow flower. So.
[ Sorry, they're just straight up laughing at that. ]
Aww, that's too bad I missed it. I bet you were absolutely blooming.
[ Hehehe.. but a nod, arriving in Heaven at the neighborhood. ]
..I do like the garden here. Vee -- [ There's a flutter of deep affection, love, fond. Their gaze staring longingly in the direction of said location. ] A friend brought me to the garden by the church to teach me about colors. I didn't expect anyone to want to go out of their way to do that.
[ For someone like Siffrin. Undeserving of anything. ]
You can ask Kate about it later. She had a little sheep costume and was
pretty mad - couldn't help but join her to try and lighten her mood.
[ laughing with them as well before he listens - because he is also
very good at listening, taking things in, be they the grasses that rattle
like a snake's tail or the earth speaking through its beat, or a friend
here beside him, that makes his heart swell with fondness, warmth. he
doesn't miss that soft flutter at the mention of a friend, and he nods,
because god knows that's a rare feeling, a wonderful feeling. ]
If there is one thing to come from these sorts of situations, it's the
connections we forge. Some of them become so strong, it almost doesn't
matter where you are or how far you travel from one another.
[ undeserving? no. ]
Vee sounds like the sort of person you'd want to hold close by your side
for as long as you can. [ a soft tilt of the head, a smile that
speaks volumes, encouragement. go on. i see you. ]
Sounds cute. I'd say picture worthy, but not if Kate was feeling... baad about it.
[ There's a bit of hesitation, like they want to run off to the gardens. Relive some of those memories but.. what's the point, when the people they made them with are no longer there? That ache of missing someone. It's up there to how much they miss their own "family" back home. ]
..Mm. [ A soft quiet noise in agreement. It is the connections that are forged. And as they ponder this, they fiddle with something shiny, something round in their hand. A silver coin. Until they bring their gaze up at him, peering at that encouraging smile and their cheeks tint a little. ..Embarrassing, to ramble about people like that. ] He is.. He's so full of.. love for everyone and all the people in his life. He's probably always keeping everyone updated on our Heaven phones.
[ A small shake of their head, sheepish as they point to the train station. ] Sorry, um.. is the lighthouse fine? I think.. it'd be nice to see the sea again.
The lighthouse sounds perfect to me... back home, we don't really get to
see the ocean. We're too far inland even fathom traveling towards it.
[ he's already moving with them towards the train, his mind a calm
ebb and flow of thoughts, warmth at knowing siffrin carries these memories
where they can. the pain is palpable, however - a memory is a lovely thing,
but the space it holds in the places they're born... sometimes it feels
more like twisting the knife to stand in the place they're made without the
familiarity of that very person beside you. a soft sort of longing of his
own that crests around the edges like waves that part into brilliant
blue like crystal, like a shot of violet light in the dark, like a serpent
in the grass with a crimson red belly biting into the earth. he takes a
breath, soft and slow. ]
Sounds like you'll have quite a bit to catch up on with him when you
finally have a moment to catch your breath... [ a soft nod towards
their hand, the coin. ] ... what's that?
Most of my travels take away from it so it had been a while since I last saw it myself back in my world myself. And with... the added looping, even longer.
[ It's part of why they want to take him there. Something of a sight they don't normally see. Something to glance at, to remember that exists, outside the same repeating scenes over and over and... ]
..Do you at least get to travel a bit? Or is it the same place?
[ With them, they see the same small village. The same House. The same two days. At the mention of catching up, there's an ache of loneliness and longing. Someday, someday... As the attention turns, they glance to the silver coin. Foreign currency that none here would recognize. ]
Just a coin. It's what I.. asked to get back from home, with our points. A while back.

[ curious, attempting to soothe a little bit of that tension even further. he squeezes their hand ever so lightly. ]
I'll trust you as my Heavenly guide.

[ Trying not to make it about them and what they like. There's so much to see and perceive! ]
