Once things get loaded... It shows what looks to be a quaint little village, though with a few immediate unusual oddities with it. There's a few scattered people on about, the world seeming to be drenched in monotone of black and white. Various little orb-shaped people(?) statuettes standing in the center slight hill, even a few smaller ones closer to the ground doing a little dance. Fun!
Much farther in the distance the sky looks to be a more clearer dark black shade spreading with stars gleaming despite the town looking to be in the middle of the day. Weird. ]
[ he gives a firm nod just as the simulation finishes warming up, revealing the village that siffrin has brought them to. he takes a few moments to absorb it all, eyes scanning everything before them, lingering on the horizon and then upwards to the sky. in a quiet sort of awe that draws into slightly pinched brows. ]
Never seen stars during the day before...
[ said as he brings his gaze back downwards slightly to meet siffrin, then further down towards the little dance... why is this... help... it's... cute... ah man. ]
Technically, stars are always around. Even during the day. You just don't see them.
[ Of course, Artemy probably doesn't mean it like that. And they know exactly what he's referring to. Which is why their gaze shifts over to part that's still cloaked in night with stars. ]
That's how far the curse has reached with time being frozen.
[ A blink, before a small chuckle and a gesture to come sit at a nearby bench. ]
[ following siffrin's eyes, he takes it in—a curse and frozen time. his brow furrows slightly as he begins to follow the gesture, walking with them towards a bench. ]
So this is your home...
[ he settles in, drawing a leg up, arm around it tightly. his eyes are always drawn to the horizon, but flick upwards again like a habit. ]
[ Even if.. there's a complicated feeling about sitting here, staring at the small little village before them. Though the mention of home... ]
It's my world, yeah. [ Not home. Won't ever be home. ] This place specifically is Dormont, the closest village to the House where the King was residing.
[ Follows his gaze upward, curious. Trying to see where it is he looks in this monotone world that is only completely greyscale. ]
I never saw it reach this place, but the King was spreading a curse across all of the country Vaugarde. Everything it touched, and anyone, would freeze in time. It's why part of the sky is lightless night over in that direction.
To be frozen in time... was there some purpose to it? Some goal this king
had to enact such a thing?

sometimes, people just do shit because they can, because it's in their
power so why the hell not flex because they can. his jaw tightens.

..The people of Vaugarde welcomed the King, when he had nothing to remember, where he came from... where memories should come easily, came nothing. But they took care of him, loved him, gave him somewhere. He didn't want the same thing happening to Vaugarde that happened to his home.
[ Their words almost sound personal. Like they're talking that is in part themselves than just someone else. Shown in the way they look out, their single eye looking a bit distant. It's a horrible thing to do but Siffrin will be a liar if he said he didn't understand. And because of that, he feels disgusting. ]
So his wish was to keep Vaugarde perfect and safe. Frozen in time. Like a picture. [ Shake of their head. ] It was something we were stopping. The country didn't deserve to be frozen in time. So we did stop him in the end.
