I learned about the on board the Eudora, a friend was pretty knowledgeable about them...

Their eggs were sturdy, according to some of the others but. I always kept mine on hand. Just to keep close. It was definitely easier after they hatched. The chao lifting its head at the sound of Artemy's voice, eyes wide and curious before peering back down at his leg and gently patting it. There, there leggie. ] ..They're worried you're hurt.
[ glancing down at sirius, he lifts a hand and knocks with the back of his knuckles on his own knee, which thunks unnaturally, like metal muted by cloth. ]
I was hurt for a time, lost my leg. But I was able to replace it with something sturdier. I kept it, figured it'd be more helpful when I left the Eudora.

When you say not a lot of people care much about stars, do you mean from home?

Travel from planet to planet..? Really? [ Their eye is so sparkly... ] Stars, what I'd give for an opportunity just once to see that for myself. Someone I knew in Heaven had their universe like that.
[ Of course, they probably wouldn't leave their world without their friends but... the idea of that. It would be nice to witness just once. ]
..I don't mind. I think it's just... something that not a lot of them think about. Don't realize that there's more to it up there. That stars are more than just lights in the sky.
It was... definitely an experience that would have been greatly improved had it not become some kind of game. [ a small smile ] But what we ended up seeing on some of those planets was pretty amazing.

Mostly because... I grew up knowing everything about stars. Looking at them, the constellations, what they're made of and everything that is. [ A brief pause, quieting as they look away from that sky watch. ] ..Not that I remember much anymore.

I ask only because I am familiar with losing things... perhaps not so much up here anymore, but... [ tapping his temple gently ] All the same, the stars sound precious to you.
